BROADVIEW SECURITY, NOW ADT, WINS 2009 PDQ AWARD
SIAC recognizes excellence in alarm reduction strategies
FRISCO, Texas (June 15, 2010) – The Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) is proud to announce that Broadview Security has been honored with the 2009 Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) Award. Co-sponsored by the False Alarm Reduction Association (FARA), Honeywell Security and Security Sales & Integration Magazine, the PDQ Award annually recognizes the security company which best demonstrates a proactive, cooperative and successful effort in alarm reduction strategies.
Broadview Security first won the PDQ award in 2006 as Brink’s Home Security and now becomes the first alarm company to win this award multiple times. The achievements for the 2009 PDQ award were submitted from the Fort Worth, Texas market.
In May 2010, Broadview Security became part of Boca Raton, Florida-based ADT Security Services.
“Winning the prestigious PDQ Award twice is a great honor,” said Carole Vanyo, Vice President of Customer Experience for ADT North America Residential/Small Business. Vanyo previously served as Senior Vice President of Customer Operations for Broadview Security.
“This award is the result of a strong partnership with law enforcement and a companywide diligence to provide exceptional quality and service to our customers and to their communities,” Vanyo added. ”Applying new industry standards in partnership with our industry and law enforcement partners has created new means of higher levels of false alarm reduction.”
“Being recognized as a repeat PDQ winner shows an ongoing commitment by this company to manage alarms through progressive and constant attention to detail,” stated Stan Martin, Executive Director of SIAC. “They take a lead in quickly implementing all industry recommendations and thoroughly educating their employees and customers.”
The official award ceremony for the 2009 PDQ Award will take place today at the ESX Icebreaker Luncheon in Pittsburg, PA. Previous PDQ Award winners include Atronic Alarms (2008), Alarm Detection Systems Inc. (2007), Brink’s Home Security (2006) and Vector Security (2005).
