HS Technology Group Wins 2012 PDQ AWARD
SIAC & FARA see continued improvement in alarm reductions
FRISCO, Texas (June 26, 2012) – HS Technology Group (HST), of Baltimore, MD, was named the 2011 Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) Award winner at ESX Icebreaker Luncheon in Nashville, TN, June 26th. Announced by the Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) and the False Alarm Reduction Association (FARA), and co-sponsored by Honeywell Security, Security Sales & Integration Magazine, and the Installation Quality (IQ) Program, the PDQ Award recognizes the security company that best demonstrates a proactive and cooperative effort to reduce unnecessary alarm dispatches. HST becomes the first PDQ Award winner who uses a third-party monitoring service.
“What makes HST unique is that it utilizes a third-party monitoring service,” said SIAC Executive Director Stan Martin. “Working with that provider, HST demonstrates a superior practice of following up with new customers and those customers with previous dispatches in order to improve education and reduce the number of unnecessary dispatches.”
"It is a great honor to be recognized by leaders in the alarm industry," said Stuart Forchheimer, president HS Technology Group. “I would also like to thank SIAC and the panel of judges for their time and support for this cause, but most importantly, I’d like to thank the team at HST for their hard work and commitment to providing the best service and technology to the customers we protect."
“Stu and his team at HST have demonstrated over the years a true commitment to the reduction of false dispatches, said Gerry Miller, FARA immediate past president. “From working tirelessly with area law enforcement jurisdictions to even teaching false dispatch reduction classes, HST continues to set the bar in alarm management practices.”
Previous winners include Brink’s Home Security, Vector Security, Alarm Detection Systems, Inc. (ADS), Broadview Security (now ADT Security Services), Atronic Alarms and Custom Alarms.
