We broke a barrier last week: SIAC now has over 210 followers on Twitter. That may not sound like much, but it says something about the continued growth of companies and individuals hearing our message.
SIAC has been around for almost ten years. We entered the social media realm two years ago by blogging and opening our Twitter account. Both tools are designed to help us share information with the electronic security industry on how to continue improving alarm management practices.
Hitting 210 followers means we’ve branched out beyond our core base to begin adding more manufacturers, software companies and other interest groups that want to hear what we have to say. We’re pleased to have the additions; they mean a lot to us.
What we say and do in the years ahead accomplishes less if we are unable to share those messages with our core followers. That’s why our blog and Twitter messages are so important –they are primary means for us to connect with you.
