Several weeks ago, we had a typo in the headline to this blog. We heard about it. Way more than once. And that made sense to us.
We want people reading what we write. If we have something wrong, we need to correct it. Like any organization, sometimes we make a mistake. When it’s a headline, that stands out, so you’re going to get more people responding in a situation like that, particularly those who are affected by the verbiage. In this case, we had transposed ESX (in Fort Worth this week) with ISC West (held earlier this year in Las Vegas).
As the emails poured in, it became clear that people pay attention to what we say. For those of you reading this through Constant Contact, we’ve changed how we reach out to you, putting this blog into a new format, clearer, crisper, with some short links to better help you understand what SIAC does and why it’s important for you to partner with us. We’re monitoring statistics through Constant Contact and our “open” rate, “bounces” and “clicks” all remain strong. We appreciate your readership, keeping up with our work activities across North America, as we help the electronic security industry.
Keep reaching out. Let us know if something is wrong. We don’t know if you don’t tell us. Quite frankly, we’d also love to hear when we do something well. We work hard to replicate our successes and learn from our mistakes, even if they are minor.
