The Monitoring Association (TMA) recently presented its annual Monitoring Center “Excellence Awards.” With the current Covid-19 status, the association made the presentation via a GoToWebinar. SIAC supports these awards, as they continue to improve monitoring standards in the security industry, which helps raise alarm management standards as well through increased professionalism.
Both members and non-TMA members are eligible. The awards recognize “outstanding personnel who perform in the highest professional manner, making a significant contribution to the betterment of the alarm industry while demonstrating excellent service to the customers and community. The 2020 winners include:
2020 Monitoring Center of the Year ‐ Securitas Electronic Security, Inc.
2020 Manager of the Year ‐ Jacqueline Brogan, Alarm Detection Systems
2020 Operator of the Year ‐ Amanda Edmunds, AvantGuard Monitoring Services, LLC.
2020 Support Person of the Year ‐ Gavin Butterfield, AvantGuard Monitoring Services, LLC.
The awards program is designed to promote the inherent value of monitoring systems and the “distinct level of professionalism attained by NRTL-approved monitoring centers. TMA’s Monitoring Center Excellence Awards are co-sponsored by SDM Magazine, which will publish a feature story on the winners in its August issue.
