The Integration Association of Florida (IAF) recently made a generous donation in support of SIAC’s role as the voice for the electronic security industry for the issues of dispatch reduction and alarm management. The check was presented to SIAC Law Enforcement Liaison Allan Rutledge at the IAF Annual Convention in Palm Coast, Florida, in February.
“Our industry and those we serve have benefited from SIAC’s important work in Florida and throughout the country supporting local law enforcement and promoting a model ordinance that dramatically reduces unnecessary calls for service while maintaining the police response to alarms the public expects and deserves,” said Marvin Smith, IAF Past President. “We are pleased that other IAF members at the conference also decided to support this important effort.”
“We appreciated the opportunity to tell SIAC’s story,” said Rutledge, who prior to joining SIAC served as a Major in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. “With 18,000 public safety agencies in the U.S. it is more important than ever that SIAC continue to maintain relationships on a national, state and local level to promote progressive, effective alarm management policies and support our public safety agencies.”
