It is with much sadness that we share the passing of AAF Past President Ron Walters. Ron passed away peacefully at his home in Florida late this morning surrounded by his family. Ron leaves behind a legacy of service to the industry, in particular through his hard work over the past 20 years on false alarm reduction with SIAC. Everyone in the security industry has benefited Ron’s tireless efforts over the last 3 decades.
Ron was inducted into the SSI Industry Hall of Fame in 2021 and has received numerous well deserved awards over the years including the Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) Award, and the William Moody Award.
