SIAC would like to express its sincere appreciation to the Integration Association of Florida (IAF) for its generous contribution to support our law enforcement outreach efforts to promote best practices in alarm management. A check for $6,125 was presented to Joseph Estey (chief ret.), our SIAC Law Enforcement Liaison at IAF’s 2024 annual convention in Orlando.  Originally founded as the Alarm Association of Florida (AAF) in 1968, the IAF is THE association for electronic security, fire, and low voltage integration companies in the state of Florida.

Chief Estey delivered a presentation during the convention on “SIAC & False Alarm Reduction.” The IAF is committed to enhancing professional standards within the security, automation, fire and electrical industries through education and training programs. Their mission includes advocating for a Code of Ethics to protect its members and the public, prioritizing safety and encouraging the use of professional standards to help prevent false alarms.

“IAF has been a longtime supporter of our efforts,” said SIAC Executive Director Stan Martin. “We appreciate their financial support which is critical to our mission as well as their support of the Florida Chiefs of Police Association who we partner with.”
